Services that are ending, and the data that disappears with them.
When a service shuts down or a company reserves the right to delete inactive accounts, the deadline is usually on a help page nobody reads.
Every item here has a date and a list of what to save before it passes.
Apps linked to your Fitbit stop getting new data on Oct 30 unless you reconnect each one through Google Health.
ipl.org goes offline for good on Nov 9. Logins end, uploads and public pages disappear, and nothing moves elsewhere.
IKEA's U.S. gift registry closes after Dec 27, and saved registries are deleted, not moved anywhere.
Proton used to promise warnings before deleting inactive free accounts. Now the warnings are "a mere courtesy" it will "aim" to send.
Proton can now change, suspend or shut down any service or feature, with or without notice. It says it will try to warn you but isn't obliged to.
