Shopify: Tax tools now fall under one Shopify Tax terms document
All of Shopify's tax tools now fall under one Shopify Tax terms document. The separate Automated Filing terms are gone.
The wording
What changed
Shopify's Terms of Service used to say that tools that help you calculate or estimate taxes were covered by the Shopify Tax Terms of Service, and that tools that help you file taxes ("Shopify Tax Automated Filing") were covered by separate Automated Filing terms. The section now says access to "any tax-related tools that Shopify offers to you" is subject to the Shopify Tax Terms of Service, and the Automated Filing reference is gone.
Who it affects
Shopify merchants who use Shopify Tax or its automated tax filing
